As my great
Today more than ever, more and more men and women are buying sex toys. Pornography is being consumed at an enormous level and sex shops are booming. While there is plenty of information about sex toys, there isn’t much info on cleaning them. Much like an abused step-sister made to hide in the closet, cleaning is shuttered away and pushed aside. Cleaning is not so hot and doesn’t make sales so who cares, right?. Wrong!
I care, that’s why I’m here. I’ve seen more than my fair share of unhygienic butt plugs and other sex toys.
First, you need to actually own a quality butt plug. Since you’re here, I’m going to assume you already have step one down.
Before I even get into cleaning, make sure you’re butt plug is made from quality material. Quality materials are glass, steel, or silicone. If your butt plug is made from anything else, throw it away. Those are the only four types of materials that should ever be used for a sex toy. Anything else is cheap and dangerous.
Okay, so assuming you have a good non-porous material, cleaning is simple.
Grab some mild soap and combine with warm water. This should remove any skin, bodily-fluid, or poop residue that’s built up.
If all else fails there is a final option.
Silicone, glass, and steel can all be boiled safely. They won’t warp or break down and boiling will kill any bacterial growth that may be causing smells or unsightly brown spots.
Why You Need To Clean Them
Because it’s super gross if you don’t, duh! Butt plugs are in your…butt. There is poop and who knows what else up there. If you don’t clean it your butt plug is going to be disgusting, smell terrible, and look worse.
You’re reducing the lifespan of your butt plug.
